This competition aims to foster innovative explorations into Islam not only as a religion but also as a dynamic social, cultural, historical, and political force, embracing the broad and inclusive concept of the Islamicate introduced by Marshall Hodgson. Submissions may cover topics such as new interpretations of Islamic texts, evolving media in da’wah, contemporary Islamic education, urban Sufism, modern waves of Islamism, Islamicate cultures, youth phenomena, and the ever-expanding Muslim middle class.
