El-Hayah publishes open-access articles under a business model in which publication costs are covered through payments made by authors, their institutions, or funding organizations. These payments are known as Article Processing Charges (APCs).

As an open-access journal, El-Hayah ensures that all accepted articles—supported by the payment of an APC—are made freely and permanently accessible to the public immediately upon publication, along with an attached open-access license. The APC rates for El-Hayah are determined specifically for the journal and are clearly displayed on its official homepage.

Funding support from UIN Raden Mas Said Surakarta as the publisher, or any other institutional sponsor, does not influence editorial decisions regarding the acceptance or rejection of submitted manuscripts. Editorial independence remains a core principle of El-Hayah.

The APC policy of El-Hayah is regularly reviewed and may be adjusted when necessary. Pricing decisions are established based on the following considerations:

The overall quality and academic impact of the journal;

The editorial and technical processes involved in publication;

Competitive factors within the academic publishing environment;

Market conditions and accessibility expectations;

Other revenue streams associated with the journal’s operations.
