Arabic learning at the MA level is formulated to be a means for students to better understand the Qur'an and Sunnah as two sources of Islamic teachings whose original texts are in Arabic. Combining two learning methods in one Arabic learning meeting is an example of innovation in Arabic learning at the Madrasah Aliyah level. This study uses a type of library research, namely research by collecting information from various literatures. Data collection techniques using documentation techniques and data analysis techniques using content analysis.
The result of this study is the use of the Problem Based Learning method at the beginning of learning by providing a statement in the form of a problem to be solved by students using Arabic. The solution can be in the form of Insha (composition) or making khiwar (conversation). Furthermore, the use of the Information Search method is applied when students solve problems by looking for information on books that the teacher has recommended previously. The teacher only observes and directs students in the combined use of these two methods.
