Meanwhile, this research aims to determine the effectiveness of using PBL (Problem Based Learning) based on HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skills) to improve students' skills in solving mathematical problems. This research is classroom action research with two cycles, each cycle consisting of planning, implementation and observation (act & observe), and reflection. The target of this research was the fifth grade students of SD N Wirogunan 03, totaling 11 students. Data was obtained from the results of formative tests by answering 10 questions, and activity observation sheets. The research results show that students' mathematical problem solving skills have increased. Cycle I experienced an average increase of 17.95% and cycle II experienced an average increase of 31.85%. Based on the research results, it shows that HOTS-based PBL can improve students' mathematical problem solving skills and is effective on the mathematics learning outcomes of fifth grade students at SD N Wirogunan 03 Kartasura
2024-06-30T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2024 qomsi atun munawaroh, Qomsi https://ejournal.uinsaid.ac.id/index.php/jenius/article/view/8709 Implementation of Character Education Based on Local Wisdom in Dance Extracurriculars in Elementary Schools 2024-05-20T11:44:37+07:00 Maesaroh Maesaroh [email protected] Kustiarini Kustiarini [email protected]
Western culture is currently developing very rapidly along with technological developments, this has a huge impact on the development of the character and morals of students in Indonesia. This research aims to: (1) Describe the implementation of character education based on local wisdom in dance extracurriculars at SDN Kartasura 01 Sukoharjo; (2) Describe the values of local wisdom in extracurricular dance, especially the Kebo Kinul dance at SDN Kartasura 01 Sukoharjo. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The subjects of this research were 15 students who were active in extracurricular dance and 1 dance teacher. The data collection techniques used are observation, interviews and documentation. The results of the research are: (1) The implementation of character education based on local wisdom in extracurricular dance at SDN Kartasura 01 Sukoharjo was carried out by preserving the regional culture of Kebo Kinul Dance which developed in Sukoharjo Regency; (2) The values contained in the Kebo Kinul dance extracurricular are the value of working together, the value of gratitude and the value of love for the homeland. Based on the results, it can be concluded that the implementation goes through the stages of planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation in accordance with the curriculum in order to achieve national education goals
2024-06-30T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Maesaroh Maesaroh, Kustiarini Kustiarini https://ejournal.uinsaid.ac.id/index.php/jenius/article/view/8952 Application of Picture and Picture in Increasing Student Learning Activeness in PPKN Subjects 2024-06-15T05:06:39+07:00 Nurul Septiana Wulandari [email protected] Jan Wantoro [email protected]
This research is an improvement in the learning methods used by students during learning. Aims to increase mastery of PPKN competencies through the application of the Picture And Picture model. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (PTK). Data was collected using the test method, this classroom action research has four stages, namely: (1) planning, (2) implementation, (3) observation, (4) reflection. The results of this research show that the Picture and Picture Learning Model has a positive impact in improving student learning achievement. This can be seen from the increasingly solid understanding of students towards the material presented by the teacher, increasing between cycle I and cycle II. Shows classical completeness in cycle I\ then increases in cycle II. The increase occurred from cycle I to cycle II. So it can be concluded that the application of the Picture And Picture Model can improve mastery of PPKN class II lesson competencies at SD 3 Muhammadiyah Surakarta
2024-06-30T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Nurul Septiana Wulandari, Jan Wantoro https://ejournal.uinsaid.ac.id/index.php/jenius/article/view/8785 The Relationship between Reading Interest and the Ability to Solve Mathematics Story Problems in Elementary School Students 2024-06-10T11:48:29+07:00 Azizah Ismi Nafisah [email protected] Moh Bisri [email protected]
Reading is the main key in understanding the content of reading texts. Reading activities can be done with someone's interest. Lack of interest in reading causes a lack of understanding of the content of the reading text. This research aims to determine the relationship between interest in reading and the ability to solve math story problems. This research uses quantitative correlational. The population used was 198 class V students in Gatak District with a sample of 126 students. The sampling technique uses cluster random sampling. The instruments used in data collection were essay tests to measure the ability to solve mathematical problems and questionnaires to measure interest in reading. The data analysis technique used in this research is product moment correlation. The results showed that interest in reading was in the moderate category for 69 students or around 55% of 126 students, while students' ability to solve math story problems was in the medium category for 71 students or around 56% of 126 students. Based on hypothesis test calculations using SPSS 23, a sig value was obtained. 0.000 < 0.05, then there is a correlation between variables which shows that there is a positive relationship between interest in reading and students' ability to solve math story problems. Schools are expected to improve students' abilities in solving mathematical story problems through motivation and habituation to increase interest in reading
2024-06-30T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Azizah Ismi Nafisah, Moh Bisri https://ejournal.uinsaid.ac.id/index.php/jenius/article/view/9307 Sharpening Creativity in Basic Education Through Simple Fine Arts: Literature Review 2024-06-24T18:15:18+07:00 Yuliani Dwi Ambarsari [email protected] Muhammad Azidan Alanthony [email protected] Elisa Ayu Safitri [email protected] Syafina Muzdalifah [email protected] Najwa Shahibatun Wafa [email protected]
Simple fine art can be an effective and fun way to hone children's creativity at the elementary/MI level. By giving children the opportunity to express themselves artistically, schools can strengthen their learning experiences and prepare them for broader future challenges. This research aims to explore the influence of simple visual arts on increasing the creativity of elementary/MI children through a Systematic Literature Review with the steps: developing research question (formulating research questions), developing the search strategy (searching for articles or literature that match the research theme), selection criteria (applying inclusion criteria to select articles), evaluation and analysis data (evaluating and analyzing data), and interpreting (reporting research findings). A total of 22 articles were found that met the inclusion criteria for analysis. The research results show that fine arts can stimulate imagination and self-expression, develop fine motor skills, strengthen observation and concentration abilities, increase self-confidence and intrinsic motivation, as well as use simple materials for creative activities. Therefore, simple fine arts can be an effective means of developing children's creativity at the elementary/MI level, so it is necessary to integrate art into the educational curriculum to improve children's creative abilities.
2024-06-30T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Yuliani Dwi Ambarsari, Muhammad Azidan Alanthony, Elisa Ayu Safitri, Syafina Muzdalifah, Najwa Shahibatun Wafa
