The purpose of this research is to analyze deforestation trends, assess their connection to the ecological disasters that occurred, and explore these phenomena through an Islamic perspective. The study employs a qualitative method using a library research design, drawing on scientific sources, official reports, and secondary data on forest-cover loss and disaster documentation. The findings indicate a consistent increase in deforestation from 2019 to 2024, while cumulative forest loss from 2001 to 2024 has reached approximately 3.3 million hectares, significantly weakening the ecological capacity of forests to maintain hydrological balance and soil stability. The Islamic analysis reveals that excessive exploitation contradicts the principles of amanah (trust), mīzān (balance), and the prohibitions against fasād (corruption) and isrāf (excessiveness), demonstrating that environmental destruction carries moral and spiritual dimensions. This study concludes that forest management in Sumatra requires an approach grounded not only in ecological and economic considerations but also in Islamic values that emphasize stewardship, moderation, and sustainability.
Muhammad Al Berto, Ahmad Ahmad, Muhammad Lathoif Ghozali Copyright (c) 2025 Journal of Economics and Business Research (JUEBIR) https://ejournal.uinsaid.ac.id/juebir/article/view/13453 Wed, 31 Dec 2025 00:00:00 +0700 Analisis Kemudahan Penggunaan Fitur Customer on Boarding pada Aplikasi Muamalat DIN di PT Bank Muamalat Cabang Pekanbaru https://ejournal.uinsaid.ac.id/juebir/article/view/12599
This study aims to analyze the ease of use of the Customer on Boarding (COB) feature in the Muamalat DIN application at PT Bank Muamalat Branch Pekanbaru. The research used a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collection techniques consisting of participatory observation and document review. Primary data were obtained through direct assistance to prospective customers opening accounts online, while secondary data came from internal bank documents and relevant literature. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the COB feature provides significant convenience to prospective customers, including independent account registration without visiting the branch, a fast procedure, secure digital verification, flexible time and location, and accounts that are ready to use immediately. However, several challenges remain, such as dependence on a stable internet connection, delays in receiving OTP codes, and the unavailability of services for foreign nationals. This research aimed to analyze how the ISSI, IDX ESG Leaders, IDX High Dividend, and IDX Sharia Growth stock indices can be utilized for investment in accordance with the five principles of maqashid shariah. This quantitative descriptive research used secondary data from financial report and IDX. The collected data then filtered using the Maqashid Sharia principles appropriate to each stock index. The stock then valued using the PER approach. The analysis results indicate that TLKM and UNVR stocks meet the criteria of the five maqashid shariah principles. Subsequently, these two stocks were evaluated using the Price to Earnings Ratio (PER) approach. The data used consists of Earnings Per Share (EPS) over the past eleven years and the annual average PER. The results reveal that TLKM is currently undervalued, whereas UNVR is overvalued. A qualitative juridical-normative method was used through literature review, Islamic law analysis, and case studies of consumer behavior. The research results showed that mindful consumption encouraged moderation by fulfilling real needs while integrating ethical considerations and environmental preservation. This approach created consumption patterns that were not only material but also considered moral, social, and spiritual dimensions. Conscious consumption affirmed social-spiritual values, strengthened the relationship with God, and encouraged social responsibility through simple, halal, and responsible living. Mindful consumption aligned with maqashid shariah, which included social justice and environmental preservation, avoiding wastefulness (israf) and exploitation. Nevertheless, installment-based gold trading raises fiqh concerns, as gold is classified as a ribawi commodity that should be exchanged on a spot basis (yadan bi yadin). This study aims to examine the compliance of the BSI Gold Installment scheme with Maqasid Shariah. Using a qualitative descriptive-analytical approach, this study relies on secondary data derived from official BSI product documents, Islamic jurisprudence literature on gold transactions, and relevant DSN-MUI fatwas. The data were analyzed through qualitative data reduction and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the use of a murabahah contract in the BSI Gold Installment product is generally permissible in non-cash gold transactions. From a Maqasid Shariah perspective, this product supports hifz al-mal (the preservation of wealth) by facilitating access to gold investment. However, this objective requires transparency in pricing, prior ownership of the gold by the bank before resale, and clear delivery mechanisms to avoid gharar and ensure full compliance with Shariah principles.
Nurul Laili Ittasyaq Copyright (c) 2025 Journal of Economics and Business Research (JUEBIR) https://ejournal.uinsaid.ac.id/juebir/article/view/12770 Wed, 31 Dec 2025 00:00:00 +0700 Pengaruh Self-Efficacy dan Toleransi Risiko terhadap Minat Hybrid Career Mahasiswa Solo: Peran Transformasi Digital Sebagai Moderasi https://ejournal.uinsaid.ac.id/juebir/article/view/13644
This study aims to examine the effects of self-efficacy and risk tolerance on students’ interest in hybrid careers, as well as to investigate the moderating role of digital transformation. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected through an online questionnaire from 140 university students in the Solo region and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling with Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) via SmartPLS. The results indicate that risk tolerance and digital transformation have a positive and significant effect on hybrid career interest. Furthermore, self-efficacy is found to significantly moderate the relationship between digital transformation and hybrid career interest with a negative interaction effect, whereas risk tolerance does not function as a moderating variable. These findings highlight the novelty of this study by demonstrating that psychological readiness does not always exert a direct influence but interacts contextually with the digital environment in shaping students’ career interests.
