Focus and Scope
Indonesian Journal of Islamic Literature and Muslim Society (ISLIMUS) is a peer-reviewed academic journal published by Universitas Islam Negeri Raden Mas Said Surakarta. The journal focuses on interdisciplinary studies that explore the intersection of Islamic literature, culture, and society, encouraging both conceptual and empirical research.
It provides a platform for scholars to discuss the relationship between Islamic texts and contemporary social realities, addressing themes such as Islamic literary traditions, cultural expressions of faith, modern Muslim thought, and socio-religious transformations. The journal also welcomes studies in related fields, including philosophy, ethics, gender, art, philology, and interreligious relations, especially within the context of Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and the broader Muslim world.
ISLIMUS aims to promote dialogue across disciplines and regions, fostering new perspectives on how literature, culture, and society shape Islamic identity and practice in the modern era.
