PERAN ENGLISH FOR SPECIFIC PURPOSE (ESP) TERHADAP PERFORMA PEMBELAJARAN MAHASISWA AKUNTANSI
Abstract
This research aimed to identify the role of English for Specific Purpose (ESP) to the learning performance of the accounting students and the impact of understanding English on the performance of accounting students at UIN Raden Mas Said Surakarta. This research was conducted by using qualitative approach and descriptive method. The population of this study were accounting students and used random sampling for the sampling technique. The data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires that were arranged in closed-ended and open-ended questionnaires. The research showed the importance of English for Specific Purpose (ESP) in accounting students, not only in improving their ability to understand the accounting courses, but also in improving their performance especially in making financial reports.
