BELI ONLINE, BAYAR OFFLINE: COD SHOPEE DAN DAMPAKNYA TERHADAP MAHASISWA MILLENIAL
Abstract
Millennial generation tends to prefer cashless transactions because of their convenience and practicality. However, preliminary studies show that millennial students use COD as an option for online shopping. This study aims to find out the reasons underlying the use of the COD system in Shopee shopping transactions and its impact on millennial student behavior. The research method used in this study uses a qualitative approach. The sample of this research is students who use the Cash on Delivery system at Raden Mas Said State Islamic University Surakarta. Sources of data in this study were obtained through semi-structured interviews. The data analysis technique was carried out by means of source triangulation. The results of this study indicate that the main reason students use the COD payment system is the convenience and security of transactions, as well as the offer of free shipping discounts. The impact of using COD is the emergence of consumptive behavior and the fulfillment of student needs.
