Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  • If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

Author Guidelines

  1. The manuscript must be scientific, either based on the empirical research, library research, or conceptual ideas.
  2. The content of the manuscript have not published yet in any journal or another media.
  3. Manuscript's length is about 5000 to 7000 words, typed in single spacing on A4-paper size, margins: 2,5 cm (left) and 2,5 cm (top, right, bottom), font Calibri (Body), size 12 pt.
  4. Manuscript must be arranged as follows: Title, Name of Author, E-mail address, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Theoretical background (including hypothesis development, if any), Method, Result and Discussion, Conclusion, References, and also Appendix, if any.
  5. Body text criterias;
    • Manuscript's titles is not more than ten words
    • Title written in Capitalise Each Word, bold, size 16.
    • Subtitle written in sentence case, bold, size 12, and left margin.
  6. The manuscript should include an abstract. The abstract should be citation free and should not exceed 200 words with 3 to 5 keywords (typed in single spacing)
  7. Tables/ figures title should be written on the top of the tables or figures (lower case, bold, centered).
  8. Reference should be in the last part of the article before any appendixes, in alphabetical order, according to Turabian 8th edition (full note). We suggest the use of a reference manager software such as Mendeley at templating the citation style. References are preferably derived from the up-to-date references (less than ten years).
  9. Manuscript must be submitted in Microsoft Word or RTF by online submission to https://ejournal.uinsaid.ac.id/index.php/al-hakim/about/submissions
  10. Transliteration of foreign terms must be in accordance with the manual contained in the joint decree between the Ministry of Higher Education and the Ministry of Religion in 1987 which can be downloaded here.
