Abstract
The study shows the implementation of Full day School Program as a means of promoting early childhood independence in Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini (PAUD) or Early Childhood Education and Development (ECED) Mekar Budi Karanganyar. Habitual behaviour and modelling are two methods chosen by the teachers to instil independency among children. The methods include activities such as eating etiquette, speaking and playing etiquette, and cultural etiquette. The activities aim to encourage children to follow such positive behaviours and in turn perform those behaviours whenever and wherever they are.
Abstrak
Kajian ini menunjukan bahwa Pengembangan kemandirian anak usia dini di PAUD Mekar Budi Karanganyar, dimanifestasikan dalam penerapan program fullday school. Kegiatan pengembangan kemandirian ini dilakukan melalui metode pembiasaan dan keteladanan (modelling), yang mana kegiatan pembiasaan ini dilakukan setiap harinya oleh semua guru selama berada di lingkungan sekolah. Pembiasaan tersebut diantaranya berupa adab makan, adab berpakaian, adab berbicara adab bermain, adab budaya dan lingkungan, dengan harapan anak akan mengikuti kebiasaan positif tersebut sehingga pada giliranya anak akan menerapkan kebiasaan positif itu dimanapun mereka berada.Downloads
