Focus and Scope

BUANA GENDER: Jurnal Studi Gender dan Anak aims to serve any academic writing on gender and children issues. Gender and children have global issues because of geographical regions, disciplines, and social and cultural contexts. Buana Gender publishes theoretical and empirical articles, reviews and scholarly notes on social and culture towards gender and children, with a focus on their right and generational position in global society. Even though this journal held by Islamic Institute, the article published would not only refer to Islamic perspective but also to various topic about gender and children.

Buana Gender publishes articles that explore diverse and critical topics related to gender and childhood studies, emphasizing interdisciplinary approaches and meaningful societal impact. Under the gender theme, the journal encourages contributions that focus on empowering women through various sociocultural and economic perspectives, examine inclusive approaches to marginalized communities, and discuss behavioral perspectives on gendered experiences in society. Meanwhile, the children’s theme addresses pressing issues such as childhood development, child education and its intersection with policy, the impact of abuse on children’s well-being, and broader explorations of children’s rights and welfare in both local and global contexts. These themes reflect the journal’s dedication to fostering academic discussions that advance equity and social progress.
